FACTORY SERVICING

Thornhill Australia’s Service Centres are among the best equipped in Australia and have the capability to provide an extensive range of service activities. Each service facility holds extensive stock of both plates and gaskets, ready for immediate dispatch when required.

With over 30 years of experience, our Client Services Department and Service Technicians understand everything there is to know about heat exchanger servicing. Our success at what we do comes from having expert Thornhill trained technicians taking care of your equipment to keep it operating efficiently and safely over the long-term, while minimising your production downtime.

Our Service Centres are located at:

• Airport West, Melbourne – servicing Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania
• Stapylton, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast – servicing Queensland, Northern Territory, and New South Wales

Our Factory Service includes:

• Cleaning of plate heat exchanger plates by immersion in chemical baths, followed by high pressure water blasting
• Manual realignment of deformed gasket channels
• Examination and testing of the plates using dye penetrant and UV light methods to detect minute pinholes and cracks
• Installation of replacement gaskets. Where bonded (glued) gaskets are specified, these are cured under pressure in our high temperature ovens to ensure maximum adhesion
• Reconditioning of the heat exchanger frames including sand blasting and glass bead blasting of the frame surface, repainting, and refurbishment of the tie bars, carry bars and bearing blocks
• Redesigning machines for a new purpose or a change in your production process
